“On sunny Saturday mornings sometime back in the early 2000’s, my dad would toss me a bucket, some car soap, and a couple of chemicals and wipes to shine up his Toyota Tundra so I could earn a quick $10. He knew I had a passion for cars and would see my face light up when he’d ask me to do it, so this ‘chore’ quickly became more of a newfound hobby for me than anything else. It was also pretty awesome to have $10 to buy candy and rent movies with.”

“By the time I was 19, I found myself working at a high-volume car dealership. While I may have been a shuttle driver and lot attendant, whenever there was downtime you could almost always catch me with the boys in the wash bay. Our experienced detailers were kind enough to take me under their wing and would teach me many different methods and tricks to a proper detail. It helped familiarize me with the chemicals and tools necessary to get the job done right, and no longer would I be using dish soap and a bathing towel or the cheapest, greasiest products off the shelf. I spent three years working with those guys, and I cannot express just how grateful I am for them offering their expertise to me.”

“By the time I was 20, I began traveling to car shows all over the Southeast, and somehow even managed to come home with trophies to call my own. I would meet up with chapters of our car club (called Scikotics) and we’d travel hours down the interstate with masking tape on our hoods and bumpers to prevent rock chips. Everyone would deep clean before the trip, then our first order on the day of the show was to hit the local self-serve car wash, clean off the dead bugs and take care of all the final little details. For several years I bounced around to different shows and car meets, and I’ve been hooked on the culture ever since.”

“For ten long years I bounced around the Carolinas, constantly traveling and usually relocating every couple of years. In that time I had several jobs in several fields, and almost all of them led me to the same conclusion:
There won’t be any greener pastures until I cultivate them myself.
Fastforward to 2020; I had been delivering freight (mostly automotive) all across the country, and then everything suddenly shut down while the nation went into crisis mode. My family convinced me to come live with them until things blew over and I could find my own place. I began work at a local country store and the people of Avery County welcomed me with open arms, showing me the real strength of community and changing my perspective forever. I now reside on the Avery/Burke line, and frequent Carter County for music and fun. The High Country is the first place I’ve ever been able to truly call home, and it’s a place I’d never want to leave. But 4 years (and several cars) later something dawned on me: I needed to get some real supplies if I want to take care of my toys. Then in the summer of 2024, I had made brief mention to some friends and family about it, and long story short I did their vehicles and the feedback after fueled an idea. It’s hard to find someone who will reliably work, someone who does the job right the first time, someone who listens and communicates, someone who has a passion for what they do. I thought, maybe I could try to be that someone. So here I am, giving it my best shot, offering myself and my services out to the great people that have shown me nothing but love and support since I first arrived. I wish nothing more than to be able to offer my services to this wonderful community for many years to come. Thank you to the people of Avery, Burke and Carter County, for pushing me to realize my potential and fueling my growth on this long, strange journey we call life.”
